Holy Moly it’s June already?! Well Happy IWSG Day! It’s the first Wednesday of the month. A day for us writers to come together in the blogosphere, sharing the highs the lows of our writing journeys. As a writer, we’re often in our own bubble. Thanks goes to ninja extraordinaire, Alex Cavanaugh, for creating the Insecure Writer’s Support Group. So that we can come out of those bubbles and reconnect with each other.
Our Twitter hashtag and handle are #IWSG and @TheIWSG.
Don’t forget to check out today’s awesome co-hosts: JH Moncrieff, Madeline Mora-Summonte, Jen Chandler, Megan Morgan, and Heather Gardner!
So what’s going on with me?
Well, I almost scared myself shitless. I thought last week Wednesday was IWSG day and nearly had a panic attack that I hadn’t wrote and scheduled a post. Imagine my relief and surprise that I worried over nothing.
Okay, I’ve done character interviews in the past. But for the first time ever, I’m having a character all-star edition a-la reunion style!
What do I mean by that? Well, if you like watching reality TV shows, then you’d know that after the season they usually have a reunion episode.
Today’s post is kind of like that. Except the reunion is with the characters from my work in progress novels, Harbingers of El Tinor, Nadia the Fire Witch, Dreaming of You and The Soul Traveler.
How is everyone doing?
Kim: But will be better if you can move your ass a little. After Dreaming of You is my story right? Know you said no new stories but I can’t wait. Though I’d look forward to it more if you changed the guy you’ll have me shacking up with. Continue reading
In 2015 I’d created a writing plan for 2016 that went against my nature, the nature of being a slow writer. In some ways it did work.
I started revising my NaNoWriMo 2015 novels Dreaming of You and The Soul Traveler. Had another successful National Poetry Month. And my first blog tour for my poetry chapbook Can You Catch My Flow? Finally took my mythic fantasy work in progress, Harbingers of El Tinor, off of hiatus for NaNoWriMo 2016.
Yet my ultimate goal for 2017 is to finally add the greatest words in the dictionary at the end of my work in progress. “The End.” And with 2016 nearing it’s end, it’s safe to say that segmenting the year in quarters for my WIP doesn’t work of me. As Douglas Adams said, “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”
Now wait a minute…aren’t am I supposed to be on a blogging break?! So what am I doing posting and blogging today? It’s not Monday nor is it 8am, the usual blog post schedule.
Well, I’m just so excited and I wanted to share it with you. Thanks to the suggestions to my post for IWSG (Insecure Writer’s Support Group) on June 1st. I was able to update two of my work in progress stories on Wattpad with new covers! Continue reading
