I’m writing this post to say my sorta-goodbye. I say sorta, because I’ll still be posting for IWSG, the first Wednesday of the month. So at least the blog won’t have too many tumbleweeds going by.
I’ll be using my break until I return to my regularly blogging schedule to do several things (and not in this order). Here’s what I’ll be up to the next four months and why:
1. Review and revamp my 2017 writing goals

It’s that time again. It’s the first Wednesday of the month and my fellow blogging writers and I are doing it again. This writing journey is not easy but Commander Peter Quincy Taggart said it best: “Never give up. Never surrender.” And thanks goes to ninja extraordinaire Alex Cavanaugh for creating this support community. So we can do just that. For ourselves and each other.

Happy IWSG Day! What’s going with me this month?
Well, I’m preparing for my much needed blog break. But don’t worry, I’ll still pop up back into society for IWSG. Even have a blog post or two that I couldn’t not blog about during my break. Until then, I have two more official posts in May before I go on break.
As you know National Poetry Month is around the corner. In six days to be exact.
Every year I do a little something special to celebrate. And this year is no different. Although I’m less organized than in previous years, I’m featuring the poetry of four astounding female poets, one poetess a week.
Until then, here’s a poem I’ve written and plan to include in my second poetry book,”Ideal Beauty.”
