So what’s going on with me this month?
Well, first off, hope you enjoyed your 4th of July weekend.
I normally don’t get too political but my heart goes out to the Highland Park 4th of July parade goers. And to all the women anxiously wondering what’ll happen next after Roe v Wade was overturned. It’s a crazy world we’re living in. And getting crazier by the day it seems. Which is why this month’s question couldn’t come at a more right time.

If you could live in any book world, which one would you choose? When I asked my youngest this question before I even finished he answered Harry Potter.
Of course my house is Ravenclaw! Where are my Ravenclaw peeps at?!

My patronus is a bay stallion.

And my wand is alder wood with a unicorn core, 10” and surprisingly, swishy flexibility.
Every school term, I’ll stay on top of my school work, learning new spells. Although my herbology and potions classes will give me the hardest trouble. Hang out in the library or lounge in Ravenclaw tower with my friends. To relax, I’ll eat chocolate frogs and drink butterbeer. While reading a bunch of books with the Grey Lady, Ravenclaw’s ghost by my side.

Then on the weekends, I’ll slide down to Hogsmeade to stock up on more chocolate frogs. And other delightful treats. Summer and winter breaks will be spent either at home or touring magical vacation spots. Especially magical libraries including the Library of Alexandria. And creating immersive spells to pull readers to live inside a book as it unfolds. Quite similar when Harry was pulled into Tom Riddle’s diary in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. And when Harry went inside Dumbledore’s memories in the pensieve in Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire.
Chores, cleaning and cooking will be taken care of using household magic. Done in minutes with a flick and swish of my wand while I’m reading a book. I’ll try not to rely on my magic for everything too much, try being the operative word. But aaaaahhh, what a life.

What’s going on with you this month? If you could live in any book world, which one would you choose? Why?
Hi,
I confess that I have never seen the Harry Potter Movies or read the books. I just haven’t taken the time.
Have a lovely month of July.

My husband’s the same but strangely he likes The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings more than Harry Potter. But he’s only seen the movies. Never read any of the books. And don’t think he’d ever want to because the books are huge.

Harry Potter is a popular choice today!

Glad to hear that thought it’s been 15 years after all the books came out, Harry Potter is still the book world of choice.

Thanks Damanti. If only it was all real. But the closest to reality I’ll ever get is to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.

Thanks. It’d be a pretty sweet life if it was real. Or hope an isekai (anime genre/trope)/ portal fantasy are real and get sent to a world where magic exists.
