So what’s going on with me this month?

Well, I started NaNoWriMo late which means I’m also pantsing this month. :-O Shocker, I know. I’m a plantser but didn’t prep as much as usual as already explained above. Aside from the mini bio I did of my thief gang I posted on Wattpad.

Now that we’re one month away from the end of 2018, I’ve been thinking about my next steps in my writing life. After NaNoWriMo, I’ve planned to return to my Foreseen romance novellas. And start editing the first story to submit. I hope to have it ready for #Kisspitch (hopefully they return next year February 14th). And to submit to Carina Press Dirty Bits. If I finish ahead of time I’ll edit and submit the second story as well.

Afterwards, I’ll return to complete and start editing The Soul Traveler. I hope to have ready in time for the June/July and/or later months pitch parties like #PitMad, #SFFPit and #IWSGPit. And if I need a break, can start drafting my holiday romance novellas between editing. “Be Mine Valentina,” “Seeking Independence” and “Having Merry Christmas” are their temporary titles. Which I’m happy to say I’ve found the leading men for one of my ladies.

Yet I still can’t decide on Valentina’s and Indie’s leading man. Help me decide, finally, and pick which bachelor you’d choose.:

indie's man #1 or #2

top: Joseph Gordon Levitt bottom: Nick Zanos

valentina's man _

left to right: Jimmy Jean-Louis, Common, Morris Chestnut, Jamie Foxx, Billy Brown, Isaiah Washington and Idris Elba

Also asked my FB followers and Nick Zanos and Joseph Gordon Levitt are tied at two votes. For Valentina there was one vote for Morris Chestnut. While Idris Elba leads at five votes.

Figuring out their names is another matter. Or would naming them first make it easier to decide?

In poetry news, the treatment of women coming forward has inspired some new poems. I plan to submit them to Feminist Collect. Who had published four of my poems earlier this year. And will include the poems in my poetry manuscript “Triplicity.”

What’s going on with you this month? Doing NaNoWriMo? What’s your story about? Have you started thinking about your writing plans for 2019?
PS I created my first YouTube writing playlist for my Foreseen work in progress novella collection.

    • I have a folder full of story ideas. When I’m ready and really interested in a particular story, it’s already there waiting for me. Some of them are even pre-plotted too.

  1. I’m gonna go with Joseph and Idris.

Good luck with NaNo! I hope not planning doesn’t put you behind too much. And yay for getting ready to submit! It’s thanks to you that I found out about the Dirty Bits line so hope it works out for you and they pick up your stories!

  2. I’m not doing NaNo this year, though I have in the past. I like NaNo best when I’m starting a new project, and I’m not allowed to start my new project until I finish the one I’m on (I have to be strict with me that way). Hope yours is going well though! @mirymom1 from
