So what’s going on with me this month?

Finally making some headway to finally writing my second ‘the end’ in the paranormal romance WIP  novellas. Which mean by finishing writing the bonus story, “Foreseen” will be complete and ready to stew. Next up is prepping for my NaNo novel and the possible short for the 2018 IWSG anthology.

In the meantime, I’m looking for a few good men. I’ve asked on social media and gotten a few suggestions. Now I’m asking you. Who do you think should be the leading the man to the lovely ladies below? These ladies are my heroines of my yet to be WIP holiday romance novellas. Here’s a short bio of each to help you.

Bachelorette #1 is Valentina, a plus size model. Bachelorette #2 goes by the nickname ‘Indie’ and is a famed hairdresser. Bachelorette #3 is Merry, a single mom and bakery owner. They’re all friends, whose parents are friends as well. Their friendship forged through the teasing of their names. Thanks to their silly parents who gave them unique names. Names inspired by the holiday they were born on. Of the three, Merry is the most sensible and usually the voice of reason. Valentina and Indie are the party hard girls, though Indie has grown tired of that lifestyle.

Here are the suggestions I’ve received so far. From @AuthorMekaJames:

From @SophieKearing:

From my cousin on Instagram:

franco_ltTyler Perry for the woman on the right. Jimmy Jean Louis for the woman in the middle. Common or Morris Chesnut or Jamie Foxx for the woman on the left.@lidywilks

franco_lt@lidywilks oh okay. Interesting. I think Some of your stories should be in a mini show or a movie.

lidywilks@franco_lt thanks

lidywilks@franco_lt Thanks for the suggestions. Tyler Perry, hhmm🤔

franco_lt@lidywilks you dont like Tyler Perry??

lidywilks@franco_lt bc I don’t think of him as Tyler Perry. I think of him as Madea.

franco_lt@lidywilks 😂🤣😂🤣

franco_lt@lidywilks then maybe between the 3 guys i said earlier “Common or Morris or Jamie”?

What’s going on with you this month? So which bachelor, and why, would you recommend as these ladies heroes? Are your characters based on/inspired by real life people?

    • Thanks Meka. Me too. I still my cousin and I conversation over his recommendation of Tyler Perry funny. But for the life of me when I picture him he soon turns into an old, brassy lady called Madea. And I can’t write a decent romantic scene with such an image. Unless I’m writing a May/December f/f romance?

    • Thanks Karen. And looking through good looking men is a fun job. I have a Pinterest board for just this occasion but for some reason I can’t think of not one pinned image in that board that I’d pick as leading men for these ladies. Sigh. :-/

  1. I think those are some pretty solid suggestions, but don’t ask me opinions. I’m a fan of options via being non committal. LOL. (Drives my husband crazy.)

    • Lol. What drives my husband crazy is whenever we go out to eat, I take forever choosing something from the menu, then order the same dish I always pick.

  2. This was fun! I really liked Meka’s suggestions, especially her match for Merry. A little *ding* went off in my head when I read the “younger guy” bit. But a James McAvoy type would work really well, too.
