Phenomenal Woman History Month

women history month logo

In honor of Women’s History Month I’m dedicating one of my favorite poems by Maya Angelou. And to always remember, you’re a phenomenal woman.

How was everyone’s International Women’s day last week? Care to share how you celebrated the day. Did you participate in A Day Without a Woman?

  1. I’ve admired Maya Angelou since I read “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” years ago along with some of her poetry. Have you seen the American Masters episode on her on PBS? Magnificent! Thanks for posting this clip.

Yes, I did participate in the Day Without a Woman. No regular blog post. Wore red. Shared feminist articles.

    • I’ve read the book years ago also and what stood out the most to me was how Uncle Willie had to hide in a potato bin.
I’ve yet to have seen that but luckily they still have the video online to watch.
