Hmmm, now to share 7 things about myself that’s not in my bio? That might be a bit hard, so sorry if I’m repeating myself.
When I was little I got hooked on martial arts films so much I wanted to be a ninja when I grew up. Thought it’d be cool to fight with staffs, flip in midair, throw shuriken, run across water, etc. Credit image: Pixabay.com
I’m a bookaholic. Actually it’s gotten so bad that I’ll need to attend Books Anonymous. But doubtful the program would be of any help. Credit image: Pixabay.com
My favorite season is Spring. It used to be summer but that was my feelings during my younger years. The heat of summer was a sign of summer vacation and eating as much ice cream, snow cones, etc that I want. Now, the heat is just unbearable. I much prefer the gentle warmth of Spring and the blooming of colors and life that comes with it. Credit image: Pixabay.com
When I was younger, when I attended Catholic school, I wanted to learn to play the clarinet and violin. I thought the instruments were cool and made a beautiful, distinct sound when played. Unfortunately I never had the courage to speak up about wanting to learn to play them. Also, because my mom was a single mom raising 3 kids. I knew there wouldn’t be enough money to pay for the instruments and join the school’s music club. Or for lessons.

I’m a huge anime fan. It’s been my goal to pass my love for anime to my kids, as well as my love for books. Unfortunately, I’ve been more successful with the former than the latter. So much so, I’m the one asking my kids what anime they’re watching as they’re now more in the know than I am. Credit image: animedumpling.com6. Aside from being an anime fan I’m a huge Korean drama fan. Actually, I started watching Korean dramas, after watching a lot of Japanese dramas. Which I only started watching because I really, really, really wanted to watch the TV series based on the manga Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers). My favorite Korean actor, one of many, is Lee Min Ho. Who also played the character of Domyouji in the Korean drama adaptation of Hana Yori Dango.Credit image: allkpop.com
7. Hawaii, Paris, Italy, Greece, etc. These are the typical places most people might list as places they’d like to visit one day. That’s especially true for me, but there’s one place I’d love to vacation to the most above all. Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan. See #5. Akihabara is a district in Japan, a mecca of computer tech, video games, manga and anime.

Well those are my 7 things. Now who will I nominate? 😀
I *still* want to be a ninja, but barring some sort of accident with a radioactive spider, I don’t think that dream will come true. @mirymom1 from Balancing Act
Thank you for the nomination! I’m happy to be nominated with those lovely bloggers. 🙂
I had always wanted to learn to play the violin, too. And the piano. Recently, though, I’ve switched from the violin to the cello. I would love to play the cello.
So are you saying you stopped wanting to be a ninja? Never! Let’s be ninjas now! 😛
Lol, that’d would be cool, getting our ninja certification. But I think my sensei would lose patience with me. 100 kicks? I don’t think I can make it up to 10. Been leading a sedentary life the past few years.
Congratulations on the award!
I also love watching Martial Art films and wants to learn too. I also enjoy watching Anime and Korean Dramas. They are very popular here in the Philippines.
Thank you. I like the classics I grew up watching more than the martial arts film coming out today. Unless they feature Donnie Yen, Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Iko Uwais & Jeeja Yanin to name a few. I’ve recently gotten hooked into lakorns, Thai dramas. Saw a Philippine drama based on Full House kdrama I wanted to watch. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the drama subbed anywhere past half way through ep1. 😔 At the rate I’m going, I’ll be sampling dramas from each Asian country.
I loved Boys Over Flowers! It was the first K-drama I watched 🙂 There are so many good ones on Netflix now. I just finished Descendants of the Sun, which is my new favorite.
What kind of anime do you like?
Hello BOF fan! It was the first Japanese drama for me. Don’t remember My 1st Kdrama, maybe it was Full House. Yet to Descendants of the Sun but like Song Joong-Ki. He’s another favorite actor after Lee Min Ho.
I’m eclectic with my anime and can pretty much watch anything, except for mecha. Though I do like Vandread, Escaflowne and Full Metal Panic. Like romantic comedies like Kaichou wa Maid Sama, Peach Girl and Kuragehime. Like my supernatural like Hell Girl, Devil is a Part Timer, Nurarihyon, Beelzebub, Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro and Natsume Yuujinchou. And my action/adventure/etc like Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Naruto, Inuyasha, Karas, etc.
Love this! I’ve only really watched one anime, Sword Art Online, that I love a lot. It’s great that that is something you can share with your kids. I also really can relate to the first fact you mentioned. I still do think it would be cool to be able to do flips and kicks and that sort of thing, but I just don’t have that kind of agility in me 😀
They just started watching and it’s their current favorite anime. And the non-agility and lack of stamina to do all those flips and kicks would just about kill me now if I tried to pursue the path of a ninja now. 🤕
Congratulations!
Who doesn’t want to be a Ninja.
It’s never too late to learn to play an instrument, either.

Thanks. And you’re right. It’s not always true that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Spiders…shudder. Think I rather inhale some radioactive fumes to get my ninja powers. 😉
