It’s the final day of NaNoWriMo and like the saying goes “all good things must come to an end.” If you’ve reached and gone beyond the 50k word count, then a congratulations are in order.
If you haven’t, well pish posh. You’ve done more than most people have ever done this month. You answered the call to action in committing yourself to writing a novel in 30 days. Although by the numbers you may have not won. But you aimed to challenge yourself by taking part in NaNoWriMo. You were a winner before November 1st.
Besides, the day is not over yet. Stiffen that lower lip and don’t pout. Pull up your britches or hell take time off from work today. And dedicate yourself to dipping into your creative wells. Continuously, to the final minutes of NaNoWriMo 2015!
Here are some quotes to help you stay motivated right until the final countdown of 11:59pm!:
What are your plans now that NaNoWriMo is over? How do you feel, refreshed, exhausted or a bit of both?
PS. Joan Dempsey is hosting a free 1-week course starting December 8 to help revise your NaNoWriMo rough draft. If interested in signing up, here’s the link to Revise Your Writing: Where to Begin.
Happy Writing! Or should I say Happy Revising?
- Finally heard back from Zymbol magazine. My poetry submissions was rejected. They weren’t quite the right fit at this time. However they enjoyed my pieces and hope I’ll submit again. I live for rejections like this. So of course, I’ll be submitting again.
- The poetry pieces I’ve submitted to the So to Speak 2016 poetry contest were declined. But as they say, if at first you don’t succeed…so will be writing new poems to submit.
- I’m still waiting on the status of my poetry submissions to the All We Can Hold anthology and Pembroke Magazine.
- Wish me luck!
- Thanks to Newpages.com, I found seven new magazines/journals to submit to in the next six months.
PSS. My 200th blog post anniversary falls on the first Monday of 2016! Is that a good way to start the new year or what? Now, how should I celebrate?
