Can you believe it’s the third week of NaNoWriMo? How are you faring?

Thinking of giving up? Don’t you dare!

Here’s another round of quotes to boost you onwards:

Good luck my fellow NaNo’s and Happy Writing!

Are you a misfit? Are you embracing your misfit-ness? If not, then you should, because the world needs you.

PS For my NaNoWriMo update, I’m suffering the case of word count envy. I’ve started off very well but have fallen behind. But still I’m plugging on. And for my fellow NaNo’s who’ve already met the 50k goal, congrats! Now, I have to get back to Dreaming of You and write as much as I can to make up for lost time. And for Thanksgiving, which is next week. :-O

  1. You can do it, Lidy! I started working on three books this month and I’m not sure which I’m going to finish (or if I’ll finish at all), but I’m alright with myself, lol. I loved the premise to Dreaming of You, so I’m excited to see you finish this project. Good luck!

    • Thanks Quanie. I’m going to have to tweak/update the short synopsis/blurb to Dreaming of You. The character(s) are starting to veer off course (only slightly). But that’s a good thing when the characters are writing the story. Instead of forcing them into situations and the story. Anyways, good luck with your books. I hope you are able to complete them.

  2. As always I could really do with some motivation! I am 5k at the moment and hopefully I will be able to find them time to write tonight. I am looking forward to it. I liked the one about how we are the only ones who see the world the way we do, so we need to share that! Oh, and the one about writing until you surprise yourself. Have you ever done that before?

    • Hmm, I can’t say that I have. I have had those a-ha/eureka moments. Which is different because that’s more of a brainstorming/idea sparks kind of thing. But if I think about it, I was reading some poems I’d wrote back in college. And I couldn’t believe what I wrote. Is it the same thing if the ‘surprise yourself’ is delayed? Another similar, not so similar quote I like is, “Write like no one is reading” by Crystal Woods.

  3. “No one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.” I love that! I am a misfit and I’ve always embraced that part of myself. 😉

Don’t pay attention to anyone else’s word count, just your own. Keep it up!

  4. Hi, Lidy – I’m so far behind on nanowrimo. I haven’t exactly given up, but I think my book idea is going to need to wait for a quieter month. Maybe during nanowrimo camp. 🙂

    • I understand. I’d do the same but they tend to have camp during National Poetry Month in April. And or in June while I’m still in recovery from National Poetry Month in April. :-/ Good luck and happy writing!
