Happy NaNoWriMo Week Two!

It’s day nine, so how are my fellow participants holding up? Haven’t lost steam yet? Or have you? Well, here’s another round of quotes to help you persevere on this NaNoWriMo journey.

Which is your favorite quote? Have any writing quotes you’d love to share? Did you participate on Double Up Day this past Saturday? How was your experience?

-As things stand now, I am going to be a writer. I'm not sure that I'm going to be a good one or even a self-supporting one, but until the dark thumb of fate presses me to the dust and says 'You are

PS The past few days, I have not been on my usual roll during NaNoWriMo. I was able to write a few chapters of Dreaming of You’s hero and heroine’s mutual attraction. For week two, I’ll be focusing on raising the personal stakes. And introducing internal and external conflicts to establishing a romantic relationship.(Hint: Justin’s biggest problem is Sharon herself. Also, his ex-wife comes back). Also, since I’ve been so unproductive with my daily writing, I’ll be killing myself in the novel. I was thinking of using myself’s character as a symbol. Maybe to further show Sharon that life is too short to not go after what she wants. The question then becomes what does, who does, Sharon really wants.

Happy Writing!

  1. I love the idea of gathering together some motivation! I really liked the one by Anne Lindbergh most of all, but Margret Atwood is a writer I admire so I liked reading from her too.

    • Yeah. All fiction are lies told in a fantastic tale. But even with suspension of disbelief if it’s not plausible, I’m not going to enjoy reading the story. And the book lover I am likes to enjoy what I read.

    • Thanks Kelly. And I know the feeling. But I guess there’s nothing like some word count envy to spur us on. Happy writing and good luck with your other projects! 😄
